01About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and the NSE Radar team of Kenya (“we”, “us”), which runs NSE Radar. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them, and to our Privacy policy, Refunds & cancellations policy and Investment disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
02What the service is
NSE Radar provides delayed market prices, company pages and charts, dividend and news information, a portfolio and watchlist tracker, alerts and educational material about the Nairobi Securities Exchange.
It is an information and education tool. It is not a stockbroker, investment adviser or trading platform: you cannot buy or sell securities through it, and nothing in it is a recommendation. See the Investment disclaimer.
03Your account
- You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding contract.
- You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email. Keep your email account secure; anyone who can read your email can sign in as you, and you are responsible for activity on your NSE Radar account.
- Give accurate information, and tell us promptly at our support inbox if you think your account has been misused.
04Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, resell, redistribute or publish the service’s market data or content, other than sharing small extracts for personal, non-commercial purposes;
- use automated tools to access the service, or try to get around limits, security or access controls;
- interfere with the service or other users, or upload anything unlawful, harmful or infringing;
- use the service to give regulated investment advice to others, or present its content as your own professional advice;
- use another person’s account or payment method without permission.
05Market data and content
Prices, indices, news and announcements come from third-party public sources. They are delayed, may be incomplete or wrong, and may be unavailable at times. Where a figure is not reported we leave it blank rather than estimate it. Always check important information with official sources, such as the Nairobi Securities Exchange, the issuing company or your stockbroker, before acting on it.
06Plans, trials and payments
- Prices are shown in Kenyan shillings, including any applicable taxes, before you pay.
- Prepaid periods. Each payment buys access for the period shown (for example, one month or one year).
- Automatic renewal (cards only). When you pay by card you may choose to renew automatically. You give that permission by ticking the box at checkout, which states the amount and how often you will be charged. The payment provider (Paystack or Flutterwave) keeps your card and charges it at the start of each new period, at the price you signed up for, and emails you a receipt. You can turn renewal off at any time in Plans & billing; this stops future charges, and you keep access until the end of the period already paid for. M-Pesa payments never renew automatically.
- Free trials. When we offer a free first month, each person may use it once. No payment details are needed to start it, and it ends automatically. If you pay during a trial, your paid period starts when the trial ends.
- Payment providers. Payments are processed by Safaricom (M-Pesa), Paystack or Flutterwave under their own terms. Access is added once the provider confirms the payment.
- Price changes apply only to periods you buy after the change.
- Refunds are covered by our Refunds & cancellations policy.
07Intellectual property
The service, its design, software and original content belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own research and learning while these terms apply. Company names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners, including the payment brands shown at checkout.
08Changes and availability
We work to keep the service available and accurate, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we make a change that significantly reduces what a paid plan includes during a period you have paid for, you may ask for a refund of the unused part.
09Suspension and closing your account
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to close your account at our support inbox.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other users at risk, or where the law requires it. Where reasonable we will tell you first and explain why. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of any paid period.
10Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2012 or other laws that cannot be excluded, or our liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Subject to that, we are not liable for investment decisions you make or for trading losses, for errors, delays or gaps in third-party market data, or for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
11Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with its date and, for material changes, tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they apply. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can close your account.
12Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be decided by the courts of Kenya.
